POV of a Solo Traveller in Europe

Let’s adjust the title of this blog post to be “POV of a Solo Traveller Minus the Travel”.

As much as I like to consider myself a full-time traveller, I do have periods of time when I’m not travelling, staying home, resetting + refocusing for my next trip. That time would be now, or rather almost this entire summer.

How do I spend my time as a solo traveller content creator when I’m not travelling you ask?

Watching hours of travel TikToks.

Okay this one I wish wasn’t true, but I am having major FOMO or rather missing the travel so much I had to delete TikTok (again).

I’m trying to stay on top of my freelance client work (after being part-time for the last 3 months). All my clients’ projects have picked up for the summer which gives me additional hours of work helping to fill my schedule.

I’ve decided to take up running seriously with a goal of running 10km by August. I’ve never actually set a hard goal + stuck to it, but for the first time in a LONG time I’m excited by movement, training + putting in the work. I’ve gone ahead + invested in a 10km plan on the app Runna, giving me a guideline + something to follow each week. This I’ve noticed has helped me immensely to not feel lost in my training or wasting time thinking about what I should be doing instead of just doing it!

(shoutout to my friend Brit who’s been my support squad by creating our own little running squad)

YouTube editing is happening! I promise it’s coming back! I’m really trying not to have imposter syndrome or get too overwhelmed with how much content I have to edit. I think a few hours a day will get me to where I want to be + I won’t give up sharing all the awesome travel experience I’ve had in Europe + what I’ve learnt going solo!

My other social media channels may be quiet for a bit as I put my attention + output focus into YouTube, but I’m still around :)

It’s go time baby!

Sometime that means go time for my next trip, but this time it means go time to have all the resources I need for my next trip!

Where do you think I should travel to next? Comment below!

Travel Tip - Travel Insurance

If you’re considering travelling abroad outside your home country then you may want to consider travel insurance. I’ve used this company for my last few trips + I love the flexibility of purchasing the insurance online, for a specific period of time + for the countries you’re visiting. Give SafetyWing a try for your next adventure!
