This Country’s Food Cures Feeling Homesick

Greetings from the European country I’ve probably visited the most in my lifetime, Deutschland, otherwise known in English as Germany.

You may not know that I have roots in Germany + set aside solo travelling for a bit to meet up with my parents to visit family in the Bavaria region!

It’s been a nice change of pace joining others for daily activities, meals + to experience the authentic charm small Germany towns have to offer.

It’s been an experience of nostalgia, eating foods like spaetzle (what I describe as the german noodle), classic beer out of the specific glass + knowing that when people say 17:00 for dinner, they mean 17:00.

The weather has been a blessing as well hovering from 18℃ to 25℃ in the daytime with evenings cool for pleasant sleeping. I stayed for the first few nights at the cutest Airbnb, where there was plenty of space to work before or after daily activities + even fit in my online group training session. These online sessions with Shandi have been a major habit changer + help make me feel more balanced after indulging in Käsekuchen almost daily.

I look forward to sharing hidden gems, traditional restaurants + a few things away from the usual Frankfurt visit for this area. In the meantime, you can always see the cool spots through my Google Map pins I save, inside the Germany group description of my Travel Friend Community.
