I’m Meeting 7 Strangers for a Polish Experience
Greetings from Krakow, my 3rd polish city. Poland has been a really lovely stay. It is overall more affordable to visit, offers a mix of modern development with original architecture + a complex + important history. One thing I didn’t know before visiting was that Krakow wasn’t destroyed during World War II as it was a headquarters for the Germans, drastically different to the other large Polish city Warsaw which was completely destroyed during the war.
I haven't explored intensely as the last two weeks have been super social + naturally I’m craving a bit of introverted “couch” time. There’s no couch to be found in my hostel however I’m doing the best I can to recharge my social batteries for the weekend!
Tomorrow I will go on a tour to Auschwitz to learn + absorb further the history of the area I so freely get to explore now. Something I don’t want to take for granted. I managed to get a group of seven other travellers through the HostelWorld chat to join me - hope it’s a good mix of people! It's also my first time doing a tour with GetYourGuide - a platform for local tours to be listed - I’ll be posting my experience on my Instagram after.
iPhone update - did you get the new iOS 18 update? Because now the calculator app includes currency conversions making brain calculations back to your home currency convenient.
Next week I’ll be a new country for a WHOLE month 🥹 I am very much looking forward to eating regularly, having a coworking space + connecting with new people for more than just a couple days!
