Seeking a Feeling of Home as a Digital Nomad

Two weeks ago, I was chilling at an Airbnb in Vienna, Austria, trying to recover from a possible respiratory infection (I think it was a case of summer COVID). Well, nothing changed my last few days in Vienna + it was a hard reminder that if I want to continue to travel full-time I had to rest, because health is wealth.

Following Vienna I also had plans to do a 2024 bucket list item...

VAN LIFE! A friend of mind who I met volunteering at a hostel in Portugal had planned an entire van life trip in Austria and I wasn't allowed to know anything 😳 As the travel friend who's usually the planner this was a test of patience, trust + controlling my anxiety not knowing what was coming next!

Austria is ✨ magical ✨ to do van life in. Green, clean, mountains, chalets, cows, bakeries, lakes...everything! We explored almost the whole country in 4 nights (didn't quite make it to Innsbruck as I still wasn't feeling 100%). A shoutout to Gigi for taking on all the planning + organization of this bucket list trip for us 🤗

Van life vlogs to come!

After Austria 🇦🇹 , I was surprised with a part 2 plan to join an overnight hike in Slovenia but because I still wasn’t feeling 100% I was really craving just some "home time". Space to be a bit of a coach potato + rest on my own pace.

Thanks to my travel community I was connected with a local who was subletting their stunning loft in Ljubljana which has been the perfect space to feel like a home 🥹

I'm working on resetting my mind, body + soul (work in progress) + finding clarity in where I'm travelling to next.

I hope your human batteries are charged + you're doing well 🤗

Ciao for now,

Anna
